The MAKSETH School Culture Centre is an important part of the school, located within its boundaries. The Centre will be registered under the National Arts of Zimbabwe and is expected to attract students from other schools within Zimbabwe and abroad.
The main aim of the culture centre is to provide children with practical lessons on how things were used in the past, and to enable students to gain a greater appreciation and understanding of our culture. The experience promises to be enjoyable and educational for all students.
Game Safari and School Familiarisation: A Wild & Wonderful Experience.
Game Safari is an exciting educational event led by the skilled game guide known as the Great Poccoloco. During this event, students will have the opportunity to learn about hunting, indigenous knowledge systems, and traditional survival skills. The Great Poccoloco, dressed as a hunter, will be accompanied by a teacher and other staff members.
The game safari will take place in the school forest surrounding the campus. In the morning, students will gather at the cultural centre where they will receive fake spears, bows, and arrows.
