Boarding & Hostel at Makseth School: Live, Learn & Grow Together.
At MAKSETH School, boarding is a core aspect of our institution, and we aim to emphasize that for our boarders, this is not just a place to stay, but their home. It is essential that every boarder feels a strong sense of belonging, being valued, and appreciated.
Typically, boarders remain on campus during weekends and participate in various weekend programs. However, they may have the opportunity to go out with their parents or guardians on weekends, but only with explicit consent from the parents. The parents are responsible for arranging the pickup and drop-off of their children to and from the hostel.
Boarding facility from Grade 3 to Grade 7.
The Principal is responsible for managing the boarding facility overall. Each boarding student is assigned a bed in a gender-specific room located in a designated house. A Boarding Master or Boarding Matron supervises each house, along with a team of residential staff and housekeeping personnel.
Typically, students of the same age share a room, but in exceptional circumstances, a two-year age difference may be considered. Adequate storage space is provided for belongings, such as clothes and books. While cupboards have locks, students are advised not to keep money or valuable items on hand. Furthermore, each boarding house is equipped with a recreational area that includes a television and DSTV for entertainment purposes.

Excellent infrastructure alone is insufficient without a compassionate, caring, and actively involved staff to oversee the children's wellbeing. The house parents and residential staff play an indispensable role in this endeavour as the primary caregivers. They go beyond fulfilling their duties and serve as role models, attentive listeners, and consistently available sources of support while maintaining a gentle yet firm approach when required.

Boarders are provided with a fixed amount of pocket money for their personal expenses whenever required. The parents or students are required to deposit this money to the account’s office for safekeeping. The boarders are not allowed to carry large amounts of money. The accounts office will deduct the required amount from the student's account and disburse it accordingly.
